Founder/ CEO Mahogany L. started SHE Cosmetics, LLC. because she felt there was still a lack of beauty products for Black and People of Color (POC) skin tones in the beauty industry. Being excited to go to the store for products, to leave with disappointment not finding anything that compliments your skin tone and undertones. This happens more often than you think. You’re not alone. Struggling to find great products that worked for our broad range of complexions shouldn’t be this difficult. So rather than give up, we found a solution. That's when everything clicked.
We are not looking for perfection, because as we all know that doesn’t exist. But we at least deserve products that make us feel confident, vibrant, sexy, and show up looking and feeling good from the inside out. Because let’s be honest, we all have those days when we don’t feel like ourselves or feel our prettiest. But we still find the strength inside of us to get up and show up. Our tenacity is endless, our stories mold us, and shape us into who we are today. We all have a story to tell. So why not do that walking in our purpose as the best version of ourselves. We all deserve that.
This is why Mahogany created SHE Cosmetics. SHE meaning “Support, Heal, Empower”. With her background in journalism and her passion for makeup, It made sense for her to use her love for the community to come together and build something beautiful.
